Southeast - 1: New Orleans

Traveling back in time to winter break of 2012/2013 just before our flight to San Diego, we packed the car and drove to explore Southeast: Louisiana and New Orleans, Florida and Everglades National Park, Seaworld in Orlando and Atlanta Aquarium

For some unfathomable reason I was shooting jpeg-only up until Florida, so here it goes

While driving from Lubbock we wanted to stop by Kisatchie National Forest, Louisiana, and GPS kept sending us through the non existing road (it loves doing it - did the same in Utah, while we tried to reach Bryce Canyon). So we got lost among some creepy houses and roads. Keeping in mind the area, we now definitely have something to relate to while watching "True Detective". We finally found the campground. Totally empty and with the prospects of major thunderstorm.

We had lunch, played badminton and ran away, not very sure why that was a National Forest at all. View from the roof of our motel

Cats and horses

It was around Christmas (or on Christmas, I don't remember) so all the decorations are up
